DESCRIPTION:Since 2016\, the Social Medicine Conferences have connected leaders\, activists\, educators\, researchers\, policymakers\, and students within and outside the health sector to share best practices in social medicine education\, build critical consciousness\, and pursue global collective action to secure health equity for all.  \nFrom June 26-29\, 2023\, EqualHealth and Mbarara University are proud to host the 6th annual Social Medicine Consortium\, “Advancing Health Equity Through Social Medicine Practice and Education\,” in Mbarara\, Uganda. This year’s conference will give participants an opportunity to analyze the structural and social determinants of health\, as well as collaborate on innovative responses to global illness and inequity.
