MHS Launches MHS Serves, a $12 Million Statewide Health Equity Program

Managed Health Services (MHS), a managed care entity that has been proudly serving the state of Indiana for over 25 years and a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation, announced today the creation of MHS Serves, a $12 million dollar health equity program  focused on reducing and eliminating health disparities by supporting key community-based programs and resources across Indiana.

Over the following six years, MHS Serves plans to allocate at least two million dollars per year towards establishing partnerships and implementing innovations that focus on achieving health equity. The program will be overseen by a collaboration between the Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC) and Black Onyx Management in partnership with MHS Serves.

The first opportunity, Broadband Access Strategic Partnership, will enable partner organizations in marginalized societies to increase broadband access to support internet and technology adoption. MHS has previously worked closely with IMHC and Black Onyx Management. IMHC is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing health disparities through research, education, advocacy, and improving access to healthcare services for minority populations. Black Onyx Management is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through action-oriented programs, projects, analyses, assessments, and training.
