Johnson & Johnson and CME Outfitters announced that their initiative to train healthcare professionals (HCPs) to recognize and address health inequities among marginalized and historically underrepresented populations has had more than 116,000 HCPs participate through January 2023.
The program, titled “Unconscious Bias and Disparities in Healthcare: A Call to Action,” aims to equip HCPs with the tools to address healthcare disparities in under-resourced communities and improve health outcomes for underrepresented communities and individuals.
The program covers various disease and medical areas, including maternal health, cardiology, oral health, pain care, and dermatology.
The initiative is part of the company’s “Our Race to Health Equity Business Matching Fund,” which aims to address the problem of racial health disparities in the US.
