Strong Heroes

The American Heart Association’s 2024 Goal

The American Heart Association firmly believes that every individual has the right to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. As strong advocates for health equity, we shall be committed to advancing cardiovascular health for all by 2024. This includes eliminating all barriers to quality healthcare access, and ensuring that everyone has access to the best possible care.

The American Heart Association has been working hard to make sure that everyone gets a fair chance to stay healthy. Unfortunately, many people of color and others face health issues because of social factors that are out of their control. It’s unbelievable to think that people living in the same area can have really different life expectancies. Also, people living in rural areas far from cities have a higher risk of heart disease and stroke.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light some alarming health inequalities that have been troubling our society for far too long. Unfortunately, it has also made these differences worse, especially for Black, Latino, and Native Americans. The economic hardships that have come along with it have only worsened the situation. That’s why we are taking efforts to address these issues and make sure that everyone has equal access to quality healthcare. Our 2024 Impact Goal is all about breaking down the barriers that stand in the way of health equity. We are committed to making a real difference and creating a brighter, better, and healthier future for all.
